I have been out of the game for over 4 years . I got rid of most of my equipment except 2 6 gallon carboys. And a medium brew kettle.
Yesterday I picked up a bag of one step ,some stoppers and some stuff to make a stout.
Heres my ingredient list

7 gallons of charcoal filtered Anchorage City water

1- 3.74 Lb can of Black Rock Miners Stout ( New Zealand) Extract
3.33 Lbs Briess dark Malt Extract
3 lbs of dark roast barley with 1 cup of black barley
12 oz Full Flavor Molasses
4 oz Chinook hops pellets 11.4 % Alpha Acid
2 oz of fresh roasted Cacao Nibs ( Ground and placed in hops bag)
1 oz of fresh roasted Kona coffee (Ground an placed in hops bag)
1 package of Wyeast Irish Ale 1084

I didn't have a hydrometer so I just went with it . Seemed to take off just fine overnight.
Looks like I need to re supply my equipment

I don't know why I never thought of wide mouth mason jars . I always kegged before because I thought bottling was a pain.

welcome back

beer sounds good, I may try that for next Xmas, I always like a big Xmas beer:ban:
