Hi There I have a Samsung dual compressor fridge that I would like to continue using with only one compressor to cool the 3 refrigeration compartments. The freezer compartment compressor is the one I want to disconnect. I can run the fridge with both compressors running but the freezer compressor system has no refrigerant and the compressor gets really warm. Is there a safe way to bypass or disconnect the compressor? I have tried simply unplugging the relay and power to the compressor in question, but the power is cut to the entire fridge.

Thank-you

You're saying when you pull the relay off the back of the compressor (three prong connection), the whole fridge goes dead?
Yea I presume they are wired in series or something similar. Not designed to just run one for whatever reason.
