Dirty Blow-off Water

So I've perused the boards and found some good information, but not exactly what I'm looking for. So my fermentation kicked off on Monday AM and has been going gangbusters for the past few days. During that time, my Blow-off tube and Blow-off water have gotten dirty from the krausen. My question is, given that I let my beers sit for about a month, is there any danger with just leaving it as-is? I just don't like messing with the bucket and potentially introducing outside elements and possibly risk infection by removing the tube, putting in an airlock, etc.

Although I'm not 100% certain, I'm pretty sure you have enough headspace filled with CO2 that unless you had suck-back occur, I can't see any reason you would have a problem. good luck

I prefer replacing a blow-off tube with an airlock when aggressive fermentation is done. It allows me to clean and re-use the tube. They get too dried up and cruddy when left on too long.

I guess I'm just concerned about the tube and container to mold, get nasty, etc

I honestly think you would be fine either way. I had an active fermentation recently and I swapped out a fresh bucket of starsan. I usually swap out the blow off tube with a 3 piece airlock once most of me primary fermentation is done. I've been doing this for years with good results. I use a spray bottle with starsan on everything just to be cautious. Good luck!!

That's a good point, I didnt even think of that. I'm just not used to this active of a fermentation, I'm usually OK with the Blow-off tube for the entire month.
