I'm having a weird flavor in my beers recently. Best I can describe it as "dirty"

I do biab method and I have been asking my lhbs to double or triple mill my grains and I'm wondering if that flavor could be coming from the grain husks getting over crushed?

Have you changed anything else on your brewing lately? Since you said it was for a few beers, is there any ingredient that you used consistently between them?

No, nothing the same. Different hops and different grains for 2 batches.

Do you have a picture of your husks you could post?

Typically shredded husks result in a tannin flavor. Which to me tastes like an over cooked black tea bag.

I make wine as well, so I know tanin flavor. Its not that.

I did this one:

Recipe Type: All Grain
Yeast: dry, neutral
Yeast Starter: recommended
Batch Size (Gallons): 5.5
Original Gravity: 1.084
Final Gravity: 1.020
IBU: 81.4
Boiling Time (Minutes): 90
Color: 15.9
Primary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): 7 days at 65º
Secondary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): 14 days at 65º

I found this recipe on the internet somewhere, and I've made it in the past. If it's not spot on to the original, then it's pretty frickin close. I use pacman yeast to ferment this, but any dry or neutral yeast will work fine.

I think I might have it figured out. I'm wondering if I didn't clean my mesh bag well enough on those batches.
