Dilution Calculation

I'm trying to figure out how adding 2.5 oz of a Tropical Passion Fruit at 1.050 gravity will affect a 9.5 oz of 6.3% beer. 9.5oz of beer + 2.5oz of juice=12oz

Can anyone help figure out the new ABV % ?

Ok, so it's immaterial what the OG of the juice is. You're diluting a 6.3% ABV beer by adding some liquid.
So, you have 9.5 ounces of 6.3% beer and you're adding 2.5 ounces of 0% ABV liquid.
That math for that comes out to 4.99% ABV I think, since you're diluting it by by nearly 25% with a 0% liquid.

Check the math, though. I drink, plus I didn't really care that much.

I assume you're going to be drinking the bottles of beer immediately or at least keeping them ice cold until consumed so they don't ferment and blow up- that's probably quite a bit of sugar for it to ferment in a bottle.

6.3% * 9.5 / (9.5 + 2.5) = 4.99%​

Last night, at a homebrew showcase/fundraiser we enjoyed a Gueuze (from a solera) mixed with grapefruit juice. It was delicious!
Technically, beer mixed with fruit juice (or lemonade) is considered a shandy.
