So I bought one of those glass big mouth bubblers and didn't realize until too late they don't have Gallon markings on the side. Estimated the 5G mark and it now looks like my fermenting batch is around 4.5 to 4.7 G (no wonder the OG was high..).

I will be kegging this batch (first time) and I assume I don't have many options at this point (adding water, etc.)?

Thanks,
Drew

You can still add the missing water if you're sure about your volumes. Just boil it and cool it to remove all of the dissolved oxygen and to sanitize it. Then pour (or better yet siphon) it in gently to avoid aeration. You could also just add it to the keg before you rack into there. Or you could just let it ride and get a slightly different beer than you were intending.

You can always add (boiled and cooled) water if you want, but you are pretty close already. eg 4.7 to 5.0 gallons is the equivalent of a 6.4% beer instead of a 6%. Either way, I think you're fine.
