There's just some things that are too easy for me to stop doing.Besides, I do a short secondary with pretty much everything I brew anyway because I never learned to transfer out of the primary without sucking up some of the yeast cake at least once.

I always suck up a little of the yeast cake when I rack to the bottling bucket. By the time I have everything set to bottle, it's already settled again and I just leave it in the bottling bucket. I dump that last half bottle that I couldn't get to go out the spigot into a glass tumbler and set it in the refrigerator and an hour later it has all settled again. Since I'm always bottle conditioning I know I will always have a little yeast in the bottle so if any did get through the spigot, who's going to know?
