OK. So I harvested some yeast from a previous batch and stored it in a soda bottle in the fridge. On brewday I pulled out my yeast and found the bottle to be really hard. I tried to let some gas escape a bit but I got tons of yeast foam. So I decided to just let the bottle spray into a sanitized funnel and container. It tried to spray all over with quite a lot of pressure but I managed to catch most of it.

So my question is did the pressure stress out the yeast and what should I expect. (Just wondering what you guys think... I pitched my yeast in my batch as planned so I guess I'll see)

sounds like fermentation was still going on when you bottled your yeast.

It may have fermented a bit more, but I also did not leave any headspace in the bottle. I think that was the main problem. I think I'll use two bottles next time and let any gas out.
