Sort of in a panic..must have read thermometer wrong or something but brewed 10 gallons of ipa. Got in ferment chamber mad it's reading 96 in each carboy. I pitched starters of wlp001 California ale. All possible oxidation issues aside is my yeast still alive? Damn man..

I put 6 gallon milk jugs of frozen water I keep for some odd reason..apparently things like this I tossed in chamber to help speed cooling.

Need opinions..are my yeasties dead?

Over 110°F would have caused some serious damage, but your yeast is still alive. Expect a long lag time with the warm pitch and then the sudden cool down.

Thanks Flars. Least I'll sleep better with your words. I knew it was warm carrying it down to chamber. Least it should cool quicker using plastic carboys.
