My 3 way CO2 manifold has failed me it has a check valve issue I am wondering if I broke it though by force carbonating through it, can they handle 30 lbs of internal pressure? I obviously need a new part I am not sure if I broke the manifold or just got a lame unit though.

This is a pic of the unit I have does anyone know what PSI these are rated for?
I am thinking of ordering this unit form morebeer as a replacement - thoughts?

Or am I going to have to bite the bullet and order a secondary regulator?


Any thoughts or advice is much appreciated thank you in advance
 
I emptied a keg and the tap next to it blew out foam now that tap no longer pours unless I swap the gas lines so to me it seems the check valve failed
 
I would expect a manifold and the valves thereon could easily cope with at least 60 psi and probably much more.

If you remove the suspect valve you can actually see the check ball and could give it a poke with a drill bit or a piece of coat hanger wire and see if it frees up. And you can get replacement valves.

I haven't had a check lock up on my (and I have three 4-way and a 6-way manifolds plus a handful of regulators, all with integrated check valves) but I suppose anything can fail. Any chance beer backed up on that line and has glued the ball in place?

No back up, I just figured I abused it maybe or got a piece of junk because check valves don't fail very often but I clearly have gas intermix in my kegs



Each gas out valve has its own check valve. Just replace the faulty quarter turn valve. They're like 8 bucks apiece from Kegconnection. Or said:
I saw the replacement valves they were about double that so I just figured for $20 I would go all new I will look into it thanks

@day_trippr got it right with the 60lbs
 
They have a 60psi PRV, that's a pressure relief valve, not the component rating. 60psi is a good enough guess though since most brew regulators max at 60psi and I can't imagine why you would need more for dispensing beer. At the end of the day though you aren't going to break a check valve with too much pressure unless you apply so much that it actually explodes.

The pictures in the add do not show a PRV so it'll be a bit of a surprise what actually shows up, that's a great price though.
