RIP Ziggy Stardust.

I first got into Bowie at the tender age of 10 when the weirdest kid at school played me some, probably on a Walkman.

My 14yo daughter was quite broken up this morning, she's just learning some of his songs on guitar.

Working my way through the discography today. Rise and Fall of ZG playing atm.

Rolling Stone released their 500 Greatest Albums of All Time and 6 of them are Bowie's. I've got this compilation in Apple lossless, it's pretty sweet. 156GB though :)

Bummer...I am a cancer survivor. ( so far anyway) Its eye opening when celebrities with lots of money at their disposal cant beat the dreaded beast..I count my blessings every day as I don't/didn't have that option so I feel very fortunate to come out the other side.

Thank you for sharing your talent with us.... God's Speed David!

His music was never something I went out of my way to listen to, but it was very unique. He sort of created his own style. He was a great artist and an incredible human. He will be missed.

His goodbye...

One of my all time favorite artists. I went down a Bowie Youtube rabbit hole this morning. So many great songs. :(

I am usually not phased at all by the passing of a celebrity, however each time I've seen a picture today it gets harder and harder. I've never realized how much this guy had an effect on my life. His music could not be categorized. I saw Labyrinth for the first time when I was three. After my mother saw how much I enjoyed his singing, she would play me her Bowie records which she later gave to me in college. Now, despite my dislike for Christmas songs, I look forward to listening/watching this with my mom every year:

He'll be missed in my household.
