3. Beer that is brought into Dark Lord Day is subject to immediate butt-chugging by powz87. Please keep this in mind as pepper beers are not preferred.

4. Beer may be carried out of the festival grounds, but it must be in sealed, unopened containers. This means no flip top jugs or growlers.

Why is a law needed for this. Just seems like such a waste of time. A large party on private property (some road I guess) where you can BYOB. Seems like an easy win. Not to mention the amount of money this makes for the city and local companies.

It's private property, yes, but it's private property that's licensed for the manufacture and sale of alcoholic beverages, and also as a full-service restaurant. All those licenses usually come with a bunch of laws preventing on-premise consumption of packaged alcohol, restricting BYOB, etc. So basically the state of Indiana had to legalize exceptions to all of these pre-existing laws. And as we all know, getting politicians to agree to anything in an efficient manner is no easy task.

Because they also serve alcohol, which means that they are liable for the people consuming alcohol on their (extended) premises. It's their responsibility to stop service to people who have had too much, which is impossible to do when you can BYOB whalezbro into the event.

It's also why (on normal days) you can't get a case from the kiosk and drink through it in the brewpub. FFF needs to serve the alcohol consumed on premises.

If anyone has a little extra room at the Hampton Inn I've got a couple of fat guys that would love to crash with you. We've got one room but somehow have blossomed to 8 or 9 guys, so if a couple people could pass out on someone else's floor that would be ideal. Otherwise we'll have to break up the band and stay at a different hotel. Can pay in shared beers, mouth hugs, tummy tickles, VIP Compound tickets, and licks of dark lord ice cream from my spoon.

I enjoy how our TB thread on DLD is 15 pages and the other thread over yonder is 41 pages deep with 1600+ posts.

It's nice that most of us are DLD vets at this point and don't need to ask and answer the exact same questions every couple of months year after year.
