Well I'm not drunk (yet) but I guess I'm pretty mindless here at work....

I heard on the radio a couple minutes ago that we had a record high of 90 today...
Kinda sucks I didn't get to brewing sooner...I'm planning on taking a break when it gets too hot and pick up again say september...

How hot is it where you are/when does it get too hot to brew?

As a side note:

gas station food sucks... this hot dog looks green

Wow I'd freeze Orfy....10 C = 50 F.......I get cold at 60!

And I'm glad I'm not where you are Bernie....I think I'd be scared of a blizzard....I've never even seen snow!

It used to ice and sleet in Fort Worth but it would melt by noon..

Haha I know what you mean beer4breakfast...where are you in Texas?

I've heard that Corpus is the second windiest city (seconded by Chicago) and I'd believe it

We had a fog advisory last night and there will probubly be another one tonight (just as I'm leaving work!) although its nice and clear now...

I guess I could turn this mindless ramble into something usefull:

When it does get to hot to brew how do you keep your fermenters at the right temp?

And I'm with you beer4breakfast...I've got a cover on the back of my house so it doesn't matter I'll bbq rain or shine

take it easy

all I can say is DIE!!!

nothing personal but I just got done shoveling 5 inches of snow and below is whats yet to come . . . and as long as you can cool your wort down it's never to hot to brew :tank: (do a search for Son of the Fermentation Chamber)
**EDIT**
I ALMOST felt bad about the DIE thing, so I found it for ya :)

Milwaukee County
Blizzard Warning:

Issued at: 3:43 PM CST 2/24/07, expires at: 11:45 PM CST 2/24/07

Blizzard warning now in effect until 6 pm cst Sunday.
The blizzard warning is now in effect until 6 pm cst Sunday.
Snow is expected to gradually overspread all of southern wisconsin this evening. Areas from marquette through ozaukee county and points north will see the snow kick in the last due to lingering dry air, but the rest of southern wisconsin will see snow develop rapidly this evening. Some sleet may be mixed in with the snow at times. The snow will become heavy tonight. Snowfall expected tonight through Sunday will be in the 7 to 14 inch range.
In addition, strong east winds will gust to 40 mph at times resulting in blizzard conditions with visibilities reduced to less than one quarter mile at times. The strongest winds are expected tonight into Sunday morning.
A blizzard warning is issued when sustained winds or frequent gusts of 35 mph or more will combine with falling and/or blowing snow to result in near whiteout conditions with visibilities around 1/4 mile or less for 3 hours or more.
This will be a very dangerous situation. If you leave the safety of indoors, you are putting your life at risk. Travel is not recommended tonight and Sunday.*

Wow man that sucks!!

It snowed here last Christmas (The one time I wasn't here!!) and everyone FREAKED OUT! It looked cool though....the pics of snow on the beach was pretty cool and something you don't see very often.

Thats a really good idea of putting the carboy in a cooler beer4breakfast I've got mine now in a big rubbermaid tote thing with water about halfway up with a tshirt but I don't know how well its doing....it secodary though luckily it was cool enough last week for primary

Didnt see that your from Corpus. I was stationed down there at the NAS. Hows B&J's and Peppers is still my fravorite nudie bar . . . I wish we had decent nudie bars here and decent chicks to be in the nudies bars we do have

Oh yeah you were stationed there? Thats cool....so was Bob Barker

BB&J....the pizza place with the only good selection of beer in this town? yeah it's going strong...the VW club I'm part of meets there the first sunday of every month

Never heard of peppers...

I never got the lighter thing to work either...

Somebody in Germany tried to teach me that one time but I cut the CRAP out of my finger AND ****ed up the lighter

I assume you have a portable shanty?? Take along a screw gun and some 4 inch or longer drywall or multi-purpose screws and screw that bad boy right to the ice. always works for me.......:)

sorry, boys, but if you have to nail down your shanty, you shouldn't be fishing. You should be home, drinking beer and watching the Warriors (lose). In my old age, I'm thinking that maybe fishing is a spring/summer time thing. I love to fish, but my fortitude is being tried this year!

Well that was back in the early 90's but Peppers was a small nudie bar on the north side of SPID. IIRC it was the first or second exit after the bridge if you were coming from the base. We used to hang out at peppers for cheep beer before the girls started dancing until BB&J's opened. Corpus had the best strippers I have seen.

What about The Jungle, Legs, The Palace or for a non nudie Bobarubas (sp?)?

Gawd i miss Texas . . . sort of

Bobarubas is still around...i think

The Palace isn't too far from my house!

There's Cheetahs..

I don't know...I don't really freaquent nudie bars (IE: never been to one)

I've heard corpus has nasty skanky strippers but then who am I to say?

Where in cereal city are you? I just moved to Massachusetts from Golden Ave. Harper Creek about a month ago. Weather there is a bit worse than here.
