So the locusts have descended upon my neighborhood and they have really taken to eating my mt hood. They have stripped it of leaves and it's struggling under the heat without leaves to respire. Anything I can spray on the leaves to keep these jerks from chewing on the leaves? Garlic? Neem oil? I'd rather not have to break out the sevin.
 
Cayenne pepper and vinegar. Or tobacco and vinegar. Just clean the hops before use!!!
 
If you don't have hops yet, spray the leaves with dishsoap/water mixture. Most bugs won't touch the stuff. The only downside is that you need to reapply post rain storms.
