I just bought a #DAR440 Danby fridge and I want to run the CO2 line from inside the fridge, through the drain hole, to the outside to my 20# tank. Has anyone removed the "plug" in the drain hole to make it larger? As it is, the drain hole is too small for my hose, but there is a plastic piece in there that I may be able to remove to run the hose outside. There is also a shield under the outside of the hole protecting the compressor. Is this okay to modify to allow room for the hose?

Does anyone have a build with an external CO2 tank?
Most builds I have seen have the smaller 5# tank inside.

Any help, pictures, comments would be fantastic!:mug:

Make any progress on this? I am doing the exact same build.

I am thinking I will run a drill bit down thru and wobble it to make the hold larger as I need two hoses. I will then spray foam around the hose to seal the hold back up.

Yeah i drilled out the drain hole and pushed the co2 hose through it. Tight but it works!

I did the same thing today. I first placed a board underneath so I did not drill thru and hit the compressor. I then drill down and made a hole large enough for two gas lines. I then layered tape on the hole to smooth the edges, then pulled the lines thru! I am now up and running!
