I started designing a RIMS tube at least a few months ago to use with a 2 keggle electric RIMS sytem (no sparge) that I am designing from the ground up. This RIMS tube is step 1 of my build. Thanks to this forum and the people who have already lived the RIMS tube experience through trial and error, here is what I came up with for my design. My next step is to have my SABCO kettles TIG welded with my sanitary fittings. I do not plan to start a "build thread" but I will certainly post the pics of my sytem when it is complete and provide any and all information about the parts I used and where I got them to anyone interested. Cheers!:mug:

Looks very nice. I've been debating on whether to get into a setup like this. Can we get some details on your build?

Thank You for the comment. I'm off to work shortly so I will have to provide details tomorrow. :D

A picture is worth a thousand words so here are the details of this build. Everyone should be able to see all the parts I used. The RTD is a 2" probe x 1/4" NPT. The RIMS tube is 2"x16" long with 2" tri-clover fittings. All other tri-clover fittings are 1"/1.5"x 1/2" NPT Male (female 1/2") for the dial thermometer. Any other questions, feel free to ask. Hopefully I will be brewing by Father's Day 2012 (my goal). :rockin:
