I have a cream ale recipe that I want to do. Its comprised of all Maris otter and some corn and rice. I really want to do a half of Maris and a half of golden promise or maybe 2 row. How would this change the recipe? Should I just stick to the 100 percent Maris ?thanks for your help on this!

I have always used 2-row for my base malt in cream ales, then some flaked corn and rice. Additionally small portions of munich 10L and carapils.

I've only made one cream ale. It was just American pale ale malt (because I had it, and I didn't have 2-row or 6-row) and corn. And Cluster hops. I'll brew it again, just haven't gotten back around to it.

I wonder how pils malt would work?

I'm going to make this cream ale and secondary with mango purée. What malt would work better with the mango? Going to be a fun beer
