Not sure what other bottle you have but if you feel like its a good maw grant and you feel good about it then please feel free to grant..

I know he granted it already, but i question the quoted part. What does "if you feel like its a good MAW" mean? In my mind, if he has 2 of the beers on the list which you made and asked for, and wants to part with them, then he should feel good about it. You probably wont get a 750ml of Blabaer (or 375ml) or 750ml Black Note, but i bet he sends liquid love in the form of 2 listed and probably tosses some good extras.

Should have left the word "you feel llike" at the beginning out and I guess it would make more sense as to what I was trying to convey.

I was attempting to reassure that larger format was not necessary and if he could grant and wanted to, go for it. Not sure why you are giving me grief about it.

Edit: Also he is the one that PM'd me and asked if it was OK.

ok, i missed the last word in my previous quote. doesn't change the content. What do you feel like a good MAW grant is?? In my mind it is someone stepping up and giving 2 off the list. Extras are optional and everyone has been awesome about hooking up extras; no question about that, people have been awesome on here. But IMO it doesn't matter what the "granter" thinks is a good MAW, if they send 2 off the list the "grantee" should feel like it is a good MAW grant.

edit: Not trying to be a hater here; i have granted a handful before and been hooked up generously. I have also traded with a lot of the regulars on this thread. But times are changing and the spirit of the MAW is different than it used to be.

also, but bottle format shouldn't be an issue. If you want a 3L of Supplicaiton, or 750ml of Don Q then list it (prob won't happen, but WTH).

Again you are taking this the wrong way and running with it. Not sure how else to explain it. Would it be better if I said "legitimate maw grant?" Without ruining the fun of being surprised as to what was coming I was saying go for it. His first PM was only that he had "A" beer that was smaller format. Again, not sure why I'm being questioned when I told him to go for it...

Edit to your edit: Again I am not the one who was worried about bottle format ever. He PM'd me asking about it, my post was simply a response to his q saying that it didn't matter. I personally think the "spirit" of the MAW is fine and you are just over thinking this...

On a side note, since this got so much attention from you I just wanted to let BigMike know if there's anyway that it sounded like I was being "greedy/selfish" as basically accused above, I apologize. Worked until 7 last night in freezing weather and snow. I didn't take my time to write out my post as I was extremely busy. So again sorry for any misinterpreted information.

I've heard the brookyn choc does age well. In fact my normal shop has verticals of that, their monster bw, and Bigfoot for sale and I've many times thought of grabbing one of each.

Probably but there is a limit. I had a pack of 09-10 (IIRC) that was pretty oxidized. Still good but I passed on the rest of what my shop had in stock until they got this years supply.
