What changed in the beer? I hear there that when a bigger brewery buys out a smaller one (inBev/goose) the quality/ "not the same" thing gets thrown around.

I never had any pre-palm rodenbach but i had a current. I liked cuve de jacobins a lot better because its more sour.

I don't know how much the brewing process changed, but I believe that's when pasteurization started. I think the blending changed also and that combined with pasteurization made the beer much sweeter. Also marked the departure of Peter Bouckaert and the end of Rodenbach allowing De Dolle (& I think several other small breweries) to use Rodenbach's yeast/lacto blend.

I can see blending of the beer. That can effect it greatly. Pasteurization on that beer is really retarded, including all sours/wild. So it is useless to aged these. Sadly i do not get a lot of the special Belgians here sadly. I want them so badly and yet sit on shelves in other states. I'm happy Boon is finally coming to Texas so we can have another gueuze i can find everywhere. De Dolle hopefully made their own blend to separated themselves. Havent had anything from them because i cant get it.. Stupid Texas

Stupid Texas, indeed. I didn't know Boon was coming. That'll be good.

Epic is great. And doesn't Shelton Brothers do all the good European stuff?

Shelton CAN do all the good euro stuff, but most of it is not carried in this area. I have yet to see Epic on the shelves.

Lol...yep we get yeungling. 26 pounds of beer from none of those breweries is on it's way to nevalton as of about 20 minutes ago.

Boy, if this list is still here on Saturday night that's going to make me rethink not waiting in line for W13 & FatherBeast Sunday morning :D

Might depend on where you are in line. I've had another philly guy say the same. I honestly wouldn't have put them on there if I didn't have a buzz going when I posted last night. I'd feel a little guilty about someone sending me both of those. I'm always amazed by the generosity in this thread. I'd say I'm destroying Allan's porch to pre-empt some guilt, but he's having me ship to his work addy. Waiting to ship til Monday to avoid the dreaded truck pasteurization.

I will be present Sunday.. Dragging out the lady too for double allotment. :)

I was thinking of hiring a mule to wait in line for me. That way I'd be able to get both bottles! And it would only cost about $1/10ml :D

(and yes - I am joking!)

I figured the forklift might come in handy

True story. People love it here in ct and it really just isn't good

Aah! But you admit it's not bad!! Anyhoo, I don't really care what people think of yuengling, but I, for one, find it to be an acceptable and very tolerable cheap beer replacement when the funds get low. I'm glad it's around!:)

Now, back to Gabe's list. Someone hook this dude up!! I can't. :-(

She can give me hers

It is only a limit of 1 and I am not sure if they will have it available to try or not, most likely they won't. I am sure you will get to try them when I do though.

It looks like you are in PA, you should just cruise Southeast this weekend... Fly home out of Philly.

That is a pretty bad list, but getting Great Lakes is a nice win. Unfortunately, while GA has gotten a lot more breweries, we still don't have Great Lakes. Love Edmund Fitzgerald.

BB - that wasn't the current MAW list. Xpertskir posted the seekabrew list for his area. Gabe's is the current list ...
