so while we wait i have a question, since i joined the beginning of may i do not yet meet the 3 month requirement, but do my posts and itrader feedback make up for the extra month i would have to wait? I cannot fullfill this list but there have been at least 1 list in the past few weeks i could have picked up, let me know what you guys r thinking!

Someone else brought that up a while ago and KeyWestBrewing said that the 100 posts/3 months are pretty much set in stone. So you're halfway there - just keep stocking that cellar and you'll be good to go come August! :)

It's kind of hard when running these things and trying to keep everyone legit. Everyone wants to be an exception to the rule with the best intentions, yet its a slippery slope if you let one guy be an exception. Where do you draw the line then?

Plus, as keywest explained to me when I asked about his reasoning for it and how I should conduct the local swap, requiring the 3 months helps to add activity to the forum. Thus giving back in a way.

i completely understand just had been thinking about asking so i thought i would. I will take mcbaumannerb's advice and start to grow my cellar, which is currently only populated by a russian river damnation

Bump....finsfan and I kinda cluttered it up.

I keep waiting for a list I could fulfill. I live in kc and I'm beginning to think we are underprivileged in our craft brew. I see maybe 1 beer on all the lists I could find now. Man I have a lot of beers to catch up on

Yeah... It's gotten awfully quiet in here the past few weeks. Guess a lot of people have been waiting for one of those two things.

Try Texas, we have some great stuff but its all local and most people don't even know what the good stuff to ask for is. And now taht Jester King can actually sell pints at the brewery their rare beers are going to be next to impossible to find! Plus the Dallas breweries that make the best beer don't bottle or don't bottle seasonals yet. Soon I will find a MAW to fulfill.

Just put up a want add in the want to trade section. Should get some bites.

There is a thread where they are doing local craft brew swaps (as TheMan & finsfan alluded earlier.) Find it and get in on the next round in there.

If you haven't created a bookmark to seekabrew.com then do it now! That lets you compare what brands are distributed in two different states. It makes it easier to approach someone about doing a trade (when you know there is a good chance they can get what you want.) Just keep in mind that just because a beer lists as being distributed in a state doesn't mean it is available everywhere.

Only other thing I've got to say is we don't get Schafly, New Belgium or Boulevard here in PA :D
