A drunken rant.. but as I entered my humble abode.. I noticed the *blub blub blub* sound that exited the cracks of my brew room. Opening the door I heard it loudly and saw indeed it was the carboy... bubbling away. Isn't that a beautiful thing? A fermenting carboy.. I liken it to a true art... and over the ages; just like art; it can appreciate in value, become a symbol, start a revolution, enrage the spirits of humankind, enlighten the most noble, turn man to beast, control ones destiny, enhance ones being, become thyself, or... a means to an end, to some most fortunate, simply THE END. Of course I cheers :mug: this with the delighted nature to be quite happy with the fact that I am alive, here with you folks, to share our journey together on this path, no matter where we may step in our lives.

Peace and love.:)

Yours, truly,
Mr. Trees McGee, lover of beer.

Most of the time I definitely enjoy the sound of an airlock bubbling. However, I have freakishly good hearing and sometimes I can be annoying. Nearly every time I've brewed I've been awakened in the middle of the night by the sound of my fermentor bubbling away. That fermentor is on another floor in a small bathroom with the door closed and the shower curtain closed (fermentor in unused shower)...and I have a sound machine running in my bedroom when I sleep.

I swear its just freaky sometimes.

I hear ya there, one of the people in my family was startled when they kept hearing the fermenter bubbling away, and they thought something was wrong! Little did they know!!!

I'll be honest. I might look at my fermenter once or twice in the first few days of fermentation, but other than that I don't see it or hear it.

I wil agree that that swirling mass inside is totally cool.

peace and love??? what? remember...those yeast aren't holding hands, they're moshing into each other, fighting over the sugars!

:rockin: :cross: :rockin: :p

Crap, DB. I was having a zen-like moment. Now I'm picturing a battlefield from Braveheart with your avatar hovering overhead smiling with glee.
