After a few re-works, I've decided to go with a standard IIPA instead of a red (https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f37/how-does-puppy-look-red-iipa-192652/). So here's the newest version that I popped into primary today. Still calling it an IIPA even though OG is just slightly off the 1.075 max. Pretty excited about it after a quick pre-pitch taste...extremely balanced! Not overly sweet or hoppy with a nice citrus note. Looking forward to the final product...

:D

I'd drop the crystal by half, and add another ounce of chinook FWH. Otherwise this won't be quite bitter enough to be worthy of being called Corpsemaker. :drunk:

Weeeell...with the current setup it's sitting just below the normal limit for IIPA's (not that I'm one to follow the "normal" anything, mind you). I might dry-hop for more than a week depending on how it progresses. Will update.

:fro:

Edit: Since I'm thinking about it, I did loose a bit of yeasties when I went to pitch, so it might take a bit longer to start fermenting. They decided to have a kablooey-fest when I opened the vial & lost probably 1/5 of the volume, so I'll wait & see about dry hopping for longer.
