Corny Keg Post Q

I got a couple corny kegs and one has post is having problems screwing the post in. I used a small SS brush to clean the threads but no luck. Yes, I am screwing to the gas inlet. I have a spare liquid one that screws fine so I am assuming that I should be fine to use that while I order a new gas post and just use a liquid disconnect. Is this accurate?

Keg is marked so that's all good. I thought it would just wanted to make sure.

Obviously you still want to use the correct dip tubes in each post.

I have a keg with two gas posts... No issues at all. It's just a pain. I forget sometimes and end up mashing the coupler on. I need to get that fixed.
