Looking to move my keg setup from the garage into the basement. My keezer in garage over winter froze by beer on the really cold nights. I don't plan on insulating the garage anytime soon, so I want to move the setup indoors. I want something that would hold at least 1, preferably 2 cornies + a 1/2 barrel keg. How many cornies can you get into a fridge with a 1/2 barrel keg? I don't think I can fit a big chester freezer into the basement, so I am limited to anything upright. Can you guys help or offer any suggestions?

Probably none. Since you apparently want to have commercial beers on tap, what I suggest doing is make an adapter and decant the 1/2 kegs into cornies.

Another alternative would be to get smaller cornies (expensive) and build a shelf above the 1/2 keg.

Good call on the smaller kegs. I called around to see if the liquor sells 1/6th's and they don't stock them, but they can order them. What is the price difference going to be between a 1/6 or 1/4 compared to a 1/2 barrel? Will I be paying significantly more for the smaller kegs.

You'll pay more (per volume), than the larger kegs.
But it does accomplish your goal (upright cooler), and it may be worth it compared to having mulitple homebrew kegs filled with commercial beer.
I don't know how many extra, empty homebrew kegs you have.

Yah I wouldn't transfer to a corny just for commercial beer. I'm gunna go with a full size fridge and see about throwing a 1/4 stubby above the cornies, or see if they have 1/4 slims. That would work perfect.
