Simple, and probably dumb question. I have a 50' copper immersion chiller, and it acts like a big slinky. I wanted to make it a bit more sturdy by using copper wire to tie down a vertical support piece of copper tubing.
Is the copper in standard electrical wire safe to use? I tried googling it, and it seems that electrical copper is very pure. I just wanted to get others' thoughts on this.
I have some 12 and 14 gauge solid wire that I stripped off the sheathing.
