Converting mini-fridge to ferm chamber?

Hi all - I searched in this forum but could not find this info.

I have a mini-fridge (GE SC4 DLD) on which I need to move or remove the small freezer metal compartment to the top in order to fit my fermenter. Anyone know where I can find this info?

I found only one picture of this model and offhand it looks like the freezer compartment cools the entire unit, like a lot of mini-frigs. Hopefully that video is about moving it, not removing.
