How much hum is normal? Using the 120V coil Packard contactors from Auber. Everything works fine, just a bit of a hum to them.

I am just finishing up my own panel with the same contactor as you and mine has more hum than I expected. Nothing crazy, but it has that “heavy duty appliance is powered on” kind of sound that you notice pretty easily.

I wish it was a little quieter but such is life. I guess it’s a reminder to turn the thing completely off when I’m done.

“heavy duty appliance is powered on” is a pretty accurate description! Not too bad I guess though, I can't hear it over the sound of the element heating up for boil.
