So I use the Minibrew 6.5 Gallon Conical Fermenter and 2 nights ago I put a high gravity brown porter in it and within the first 6 hours the plastic lid blew off due to all the fermentation activity and foam. I wasn't able to put it back on till about 24 hours later due to all the foam. Should I be worried about any infections or anything? Not sure how long the foam was down for before getting the lid back on since I was at work.

It's most likely fine, the CO2 acts as a barrier. Some commercial breweries also use open fermenters, so a few hours with the lid off should not create an issue.

Blow Off tube??

If not, I would highly suggest it. I have the same conical and would have had the same outcome if not for the blowoff.

Will never NOT use one from now on.
