Any one ever dry hopped with Ginger? is this a bad idea? I like the taste of ginger ale, and i'm toying with the idea of incorporate ginger somehow in my next batch.... suggestions/ recipes?
I've done it with a cream ale with great success. I used about an ounce of diced ginger, boiled in about a cup of water for a couple of minutes to pasteurize, added to the secondary. It's an overwhelming flavor at first that quickly mellows to crisp and refreshing once the beer has a little age on it.
