Just completed my second batch of Cider.Trying to create a woodchuck clone.
10 cans apple juice concentrate
add sugar to boost OG to 1.055
Champane Yeast.

After primary fermentation (OG 1.00)
Added Splenda ,posasstuim sorbat and bottled.:mug:

My problem there is no fizz. after a month in basement . Taste great and has nice color. But lacks carbonation.
Anybody have any ideas for next time to improve.

If I am not mistaken potassium sorbate is use to STOP fermentation. You killed the yeast before it could eat the sugars to carb. I would probably just pasteurize it and leave it flat.

Tiphart is correct, but even if you hadn't added any K-meta there would never have been carbonation since there was no priming sugar for the yeast to turn into CO2.
