I just picked up a new Anvil Foundry 10.5 with a 6-15p 240v plug. I was planning to use my existing 14-50 outlet (that my PHEV charger is plugged into) with one of these

however, I'm getting conflicting advice on that so I may just go have another circuit run for the Foundry. I have a subpanel in the garage with empty slots so it would be easy and cheap, I suppose, to add a new outlet.

I dont have any welders or compressors and don't necessarily plan to. What's the most common/useful receptacle that I could add that will work with the Foundry as well as other 240v items in the future?

something like this?

https://www.brewhardware.com/category_s/1908.htmTry Bobby first as his product line has all been verified first by himself, and then by many of us on here...some of the cheaper ones on ebay, aliexpress, or amazon have a tendency to arc to death or just fall apart.
The NEMA L6-30 is probably the most common for straight 240V/30A use, while the L14-30 is the most common for dual 120V-240V/30A.

...Sorry...I think I glossed past the part where your Anvil only has a 15A L15...no experience with the unit, but if I bought one I would still change out the plug to an L6 as that's what I have installed in both my house and my garage.....If you ever intend to use any other 240V equipment, the L6 in most cases, as safe bet.
