I just picked up an older model of this.

Anyone have any experience in converting this or anything like this into a kegerator? I will have to put a external temp control on it and I am wondering how this will effect the defrost cycle and what not.

It will fit 8-10 conry kegs but I think I will start with just 4 and use the rest for cold crashing and bottle storage, and stuff in the pipe line.

I got it for dirt cheap so it is worth a try.

Thanks and Cheers. :mug:

This is basically what I did. If you research Love temperature controllers, you'll find that the process is the same for this fridge as the other standard freezers and fridges out there.

Mine seems to be fine. I have it set on almost max cool, and in my 90*F garage it runs once every 20-30 mins for about 30 seconds or less. Mine is a ferm chamber and with 6 carboys or more it runs less because of the thermal mass.

Thanks for the response. I might also try and contact the manufacturer and see if I can swap out the cold control for a fridge one and have it work.
