We discuss AG mash effeciency on these forums quite regularly. The brewing software seems to default consistently to 75%. I hav heard people talk about effeciencies from 60% to 95%. I understand that commercial operations have trhe financial incentive to spend more dollars on equipment than most home brewers are economically situated to bear. With that in mind, and for comparison purposes, does anyone know the mash effeciency usually acheived by commercial craft breweries? I'm thinking operations the size of Dog Fishead or Sam Adams.
