Perhaps a bit strange, but I've seen a few Cherry Pale Ales & IPA's and a few Coconut Pale Ales & IPA's. I thought I might give a "combo" a shot.

The citrus/tropical flavor in the hops is kind of the "orange/mango/lemon" type flavors that, at least in my mind would go well with a cherry flavor. The honey malt is meant to give a bit of sweetness as well. Thoughts?

That looks like a winner. I think it's a great combo, a perfect Summer time brew. A touch of wheat could be good with the cherry/coconut as well.

How's homebrewing in Cinci these days. I lived there for quite awhile, but haven't been back in 6-7 years.

Good thought. I have some wheat I could add to the recipe. May dial the 2-Row down to 5 lbs and throw 1lb of wheat in.

It's a great brewing city. I'm a transplant, but have been here almost 15 years now. The craft scene is definitely thriving. A number of breweries and we've got 3 dedicated home brew shops in addition to a handful of other places where you can buy supplies and ingredients.
