Any suggestions on an effective cleaning solution? It wasn't a bad boilover, only a few tablespoons. But I elected not to move my pot to clean it right away, so now it's fried onto my stovetop, and vigorous scrubbing doesn't seem to phase it. I need something harsh to get this up!

Ajax and soaking? Get it wet and let it set on there for a while, then come back. It might take a time or two but that will get it. and hot water. I've never had too much of a problem cleaning up boilovers.

Spray-on oven cleaner. Nasty stuff, but it works. Since the top will be cold, it will take longer.
