Cleaning my Cartridge filter

Just bought and used a keg to keg cartridge filter at is 3 micron filter. It is not a carbon filter. Can I just run water through it meg to keg to clear out left over beer from previous filtration?

Any ideas or links would be great, thank you.

I clean mine by running warm water through, followed by sanitizer. Then I dismantle it and air dry the parts.
