Love that tune! I didn't even know it until YEARS after Wierd Al's version, My Bologna". I knew there was a popular song it parodied, but I didn't listen to the "rock" stations at that time.

Now it's one of my favorite classic rock tunes. Such a juicy guitar sound on that album and the full guitar solo kicks ass! (the shortened pop radio version is still pretty good too.)

GD this forum. Somehow lost all the links (they come back if I click edit on a post, then close it).

Anyway, here's an oldschool space anthem. First time I heard this I was high as a kite. Turn it up :) Great on headphones, great stereo separation).

Oh man... now you've brought back memories of smoking a little weed (OK, a lot of weed) and then turning off the lights and turning up the volume on Peter Frampton's "Do You Feel Like We Do". Such a great song, still...

Heh... searched for this, & I'm not turning it off now...

Love it. That talkbox guitar! Back in the day I had an eagles album and Joe Walsh was rocking that. Always intrigued me.

OK, I'm late to the party and I'll confess I haven't read the whole thread. But here's a few of mine...

Some hometown boys...

Let's revisit Lynyrd Skynyrd...

and what may have been the original hair band...

Dang-nabbit, now I have another thread to go through.

The 5yo appreciated this one, though.

BTW, peoples of HBT, I have the audio from my PC piped (optionally) to a sweet Onkyo receiver, via optical fiber, to a sub and some sweet speakers. I don't normally use that, but tonight is a special night, I'm working on the Classic tunage thread. What a zigzag thread :) This thread deserves it for sure.

All fixed (fukker). If the link isn't available anymore, prolly due to youtube copyright protection, nothing I can do (I'm working on buying youtube right now, and that will help, but I need more HBT freeloaders to join yo).

Heh... finished the first 20 posts with the 5yo (the 15yo protested a bit).

Thanks! Darn U-tubers.

Brewed some KBS last night. Put some old Bowie on the Spotify to see what I've been missing.

Couldn't even get past 3 songs from his first album. Wow.

I skipped ahead a bit and things got better, but I still think he's more a poet than a musician. He's got a ton of music, and I didn't get past the late 70's. From what I've heard he gets better in the 80's. Maybe next time I'll skip ahead farther.

I've got all of it here. Not my cup o tea either. A few songs here and there are good.

Now, Billy Joel is almost all good. I've been playing 52nd Street and the Stranger today. Wall-to-wall good stuff.

My kids are John Denver fans. Maybe this will help. I was really affected when JD died, and maybe that passed on to my kids, but they're fans now.

This was always my fav John Denver song, I used to love The Undersea World Of Jacques Cousteau & this was JD's tribute to Cousteau.
Regards, GF.
