My hard apple cider has a bad metallic after taste. Why could this be?
My recipe
5 Gallons Kirkland apple juice.
Packet Nottingham ale yeas
4 cups came sugar
3 cans frozen concentrate apple juice

Let sit on yeast for 12 days, then racked and cold crashed for 4 days.

What now?

It is still pretty early. give it a couple weeks and taste again. The cold crashing and, well, gravity might clear up any off tastes in a relatively short amount of time. What's your ABV? around 6.5 % I'm guessing?

I've had some experiments go south using regular white table sugar. It always seemed to add odd flavors and aromas. It got worse as the fermentation temps increased.
