During the rest of the year, how difficult is it to order a CFH for onsite?
Depends on the week/day, seriously. The owner of Churchill's keeps all the bottles at his house and he brings them into the pub. From what I understand talking to the employees, the owner does this somewhat randomly and he only brings a certain amount each week/month. I've heard it's easier to get bottles in the months following the release versus later in the year, but i can't speak to if that's true or not. BUT there was more CFH made this year than previous years so hopefully it'll be easier for others to get bottles of on-site consumption.

Thanks for the feedback. I've never noticed it on their online bottle list so I wasn't sure what the deal was. Hopefully we'll be there on the right day.

It's not advertised as for sale on-site and you can try calling ahead and asking to have a bottle on site, can't hurt, right?

When are you coming to SD? I can talk with the staff and put in the good word and try to make sure some bottles will be on-site during your stay.

Wow - for real? We'll be there in April from the 24th to the 30th. Don't bother if it's too much of a hassle though. I know there's plenty of other gems to be had there.

Meh, not a problem. Like I said before, since you're coming a little less than 2 months after the release hopefully it isn't a problem. But there's a few of us on this site who go there regularly that we can nag the staff to get some bottles there, haha.

Awesome! Well I sure do appreciate the assist. :)

Just curious, how many people on this site will be attending the CFH release?? I know I'll be there...would be cool to get a TB group together/meet new people.

Yeah I’m passing too – got up last year at 3:30 to get there at 4:30 and almost missed out on bottles. I’d rather not have to go earlier. And this:

You will be missed. Will pour out some CFH '14 in your honor
Will text for updates in the afternoon and see if it's possible to slide inside for one round of Lil Opal or something, mainly to see friends, but work until 2am Saturday then have work at 6pm Saturday.

The fact that people are getting cold feet because it might rain that day (:eek::eek: ) is further proof that I should move to San Diego.
for every 1 veteran that is thinking of sitting out because of the weather there are 10 more "how many IBU's in this beer" eagerly taking their place.

I'm just jealous that bad weather is actually a reason to change plans in SD. We get shat on so often that it becomes business as usual. I want to experience not getting shat on.

srs, told someone at work yesterday that the line for CFH was going to start friday morning just to get into the bar to spend the entire day eating/drinking just to get first wristbands for line at closing, and that staff would pay attention.

Had to fight hard to not laugh when he mentioned doing this to trade CFH for walez like rare and DBH.

Is there room in your organization for sub-commissioner of Beer is the Worst?

are you going to come down for the festival in the evening or the following day? Or are you tempted to come down Friday so you can get a bottle to use as bait to land an ultra rare HT 4 pack.
