Has anyone ever put chocolate extract in their secondary? I'm going to be brewing a stout and wanted to give this a shot. Last time I used cocoa nibs that were soaked in vodka. It turned out good but I thought maybe chocolate extract might give it more of the chocolaty flavor I'm looking for.

I'm guessing that since chocolate extract has ethyl alcohol in it there wouldn't be any concerns with a vodka soak or anything? OK to just open the bottle and pour in without contamination concerns?

No need to use a secondary to add the chocolate extract. Add it to your sanitized keg and rack on top of it or if bottling, add to the bottling bucket with your priming sugar.
