Haven't brewed anything yet, though I'm anxious to get started.

Drank lots of beer in my early life - all for the wrong reasons:drunk:. Tasted (and actually enjoyed) lots of beer in recent years. In the process, I've developed a taste for Hops. Some of the micro-brews I've had since I've been paying attention are very pleasing, but I'd like to try my hand at doing it myself, both for the beer and for the fun of it. Maybe another excuse to spend some more time with my sons:mug:. Plus, I think it will be a nice complement to my coffee roasting efforts.

Just putting the finishing touches on my 12' bar :) and plan to build a kegerator as part of the project, rather than as an afterthought. I'd like to start by picking your brains.
 
Welcome - there are actually quite a few western burb guys that frequent these boards. We actually just had a group brew yesterday. It's a pretty nice way to see what other people do with brewing. I picked up a few nice tips that I may use going forward

It was the wording..."in my area" followed by "I used to live there" that I was laughing at. :D

To me "in my area" reads as you still live there...not 20 minutes away. That's all. ;)
