I brewed my very first batch of beer on Sunday (9/30), and it seemed to be bubbling after about 24 hours, but stopped shortly thereafter. Is this normal, or has my beer been contaminated? Also, should I be taking the lid off my fermenter and checking on things, or just leave it alone for a week or do?

Thanks!

Check it after a week. You're likely just fine. Cheers!
