Ron has said he wants to do one around our shared love of skateboarding. Need to book that one soon. We did a small Coolship in the back of my pickup truck last winter. Kicking myself for only doing 5bbls.
Wow. The idea of a JP/Prairie collab centered around skating is blowing my mind.

while enjoying a green foil?cellophane? Bible Belt, I noticed there were two batches on Untappd - white and green. I'm moreso wondering if all of the green versions were from the same brew date or bottle date. This may be an obvious answer, but San Diego recently received a second round of green foil bible belts with no wax bombs and months prior received a first round of green bb with orange wax bomb. I know distribution is out of your hands for the most part but I guess just confirming that for example when orange wax bomb comes out in SD, white wax comes out in both Texas & Colorado, green foil Bible Belt hits shelves too, it's all the same batch when bottled and waxed or colored or whatnot? Personally with those two beers I've found perfect sweet spots where all ingredients are in harmony, so batch coloration is super helpful to me and I'm sure others. Thanks!

PS. can't wait for Funky Mosaic Gold to hit SD! & moar Dino glasses pls, those ***** rule.

You da mang!

will you be at the Shelton Bros Festival in LA this year?

AMA success right there ^. I foresee a Prairie/JK collaboration centered around fishing.
All we're waiting for now is for danyP to chime in on his favorite fishing spots in Belgium.

I didn't speak with Dany about fishing, but it seems the Ardennes have some great trout streams.

What do you say chaseabeer ? I know a spot near the brewery where we can fly-fish for Guadalupe Bass and pick wild grapes.

chaseabeer this is too good of an offer to pass up. Hell, drive down in your truck and spontaneously ferment some wort in your truck bed while you pick wild grapes and fish.

Got a favorite yeast to work with? thanks for stopping by

I put money on a slightly mutated wyeast 3711 french saison equivalent. Am I close chaseabeer?

Also Chase, is your beer still brewed at the same place choc beer is brewed? Or has everything moved to the newer brewery? (I can't seem to find an address associated with prairie - only 'Krebs brewing co.' )

We use a bunch of different yeasts. Farmhouse is a mix of 3711 and Brett Brux.

Our brewery can be found at:

Get to echo how awesome this AMA is first. Thank you and congrats on everything!
We currently have it in Rum, Apple Brandy, Port, and Whiskey barrels.
Can we get an anticipated release date range? Staggered or all together?

PS I think regular bomb! is the definitely the best of the non-barrel aged adjunct party stouts

chaseabeer Pirate Noir B1 was my favorite stout Prairie has ever made, but I feel that that B2 tasted drastically different, with more acetic notes and a lighter mouthfeel, and Wine Barrel Noir had the same mouthfeel issues between B1 and B2 for me. Were the base beers the same then aged in different barrels, or was it a recipe change?

I look forward to more Prairie saisons coming down the pipe, Hop is phenomenal as is Eli5abeth.

The Port and Whiskey Barrels will get blended and released in a month. Rum in 2 months, Apple Brandy in 4 months.

any details on the brewery only releases you have coming up?

chaseabeer loved Funky Gold Mosaic is my new favorite from Prairie. Bomb! is my all time facvorite. Will all the Prairie Bombs be wax-less going forward, I realize this is silly. Just curious cheers!

We've learned (the hard way) that the bottles need a day to dry after bottling prior to waxing. The guys aren't willing to do that due to a lack of space, so I dropped it.
