I read in most places that Centennial hops are citrusy or floral-like. However, whenever I smell it or taste it (busy drinking a Founders Centennial IPA now) I taste and smell more earthy tones. I definitely dont get any citrus at all.

Am I alone in this or do other find Centennial to be more earthy than citrusy?

I dont get this with Cascade however, so may sub out Centennial for Cascade in the future.

I usually get a very citrusy taste/aroma with centennial hops. However, I have found that if you mix centennial hops with simcoe, you get some great citrusy flavors! Maybe try changing out your bittering hops for simcoe, and do a mix of .5 oz centennial .5 oz simcoe dry hop.

I was thinking garlic/onions on my first batch. They blended in better after a few months.
