Should I add more dry hops? Any advice is appreciated.

I just started a cascade/citra IPA on Sunday. I used only cascade in the boil - 1.5oz @ 60, 2oz @ 10, 1oz @ 1. I'll be dry hopping with 2 oz citra. It's basically the same as an all-cascade IPA I make, but switching the dry hop to citra.

Doing something similar with my next APA or IPA: Cascade in the boil and Citra dry hop. I think the two will go very well together!

I have an all grain Cascade/Citra IPA in primary that I started 3 days ago! My hop schedule was/will be:

0.5 oz Citra, pellets, 13.4% AA FWH
0.25 oz Citra, pellets, 60 min
0.75 oz Citra, pellets, 10 min
2 oz Cascade, whole, 7.1% AA flameout
2.5 oz Citra, pellets, dry hopped in secondary

My motivation for the beer is actually to be not hugely bitter, but have a huge hop aroma, a summer session IPA, if you will. Tasted some from a gravity reading yesterday and it tastes really good so far.

Funny, I'm drinking an imperial IPA I dry hopped with two-ounces of whole Citra. This is the best beer I have ever made.

Enjoy!

I brewed two IPA's last weekend. Same exact recipes except the base malt I used in one was American 2 row and the other Maris Otter. I'll be using 1.5 oz of citra as my dry hop in both. Never used citra and can't wait to taste the results.

I just tapped a keg with a Citra/Cascade blended APA. It is phenominal, I really love this hop combination. I find the grapefruit-iness of the cascade really balances out the tropical fruitiness of the Citra.

60 Minute: .45 Oz Magnum
15 Minute: .5 oz Citra
10 Minute: .5 oz Citra
5 Minute: .5 oz Cascade
Flameout: .5 oz Cascade

delicious
