I just brewed my first all grain batch and it is finished fermenting just fine, but a week into it I was an idiot and accidentally left my carboy heating pad on for about 24 hours. By the time I caught it the strip thermometer on the carboy was not registering and I am guessing the temp was in the mid 90's. Is there any way to tell if I killed the yeast? I have to bottle this batch and am concerned it won't carbonate now. Thanks.

Why did you place a heating pad under your Carboy? Ale yeast is pretty hardy stuff and mid 90's while high isn't enough to kill all the yeast. I think you're fine to bottle but I'd shy away from heating pads during fermentation and keep the Carboy in a heated room. RAHAHB

I wish I had a dollar (well, maybe a euro) for every post I've seen where someone go their fermentation too warm by using a brewbelt or heating pad that wasn't regulated by a temp controller (like a Johnson or STC-1000).

Hopefully, this batch was not actively fermenting at the time this happened. As far as yeast health goes, 90's won't kill them. Folks rehydrate dry yeast in 95-105*F tap water.
