I have a stout that have kegged with priming sugar about 10 days ago. Since then I bought 4 way distributor from Keg Cowboy and have the ability to hook this keg up to the gas now. :mug: Is there any negatives to doing this? Either way I am going to let it sit at least another 2 weeks to condition but don't know if it's better to leave it a basement temp and continue to carb with the sugar and the yeasties or just use the gas and let it sit in the fridge to carb and clear up.

If it were me I would let it finish naturally carbing just to avoid the chance of unfermented priming sugar either affecting the taste or somehow carbing up later and causing you overcarb issues. I would think after 10 days it would be close to done though, so I doubt it is a big deal either way.

If you don't let it fully carb via the priming sugar you might be left with some residual sugars not used up by the yeast. I think it'd be better if you let it ride and hook it up to gas when it would normally be ready.
