I just bought a capper with the anticipation of bottling 2-4's for friends etc. Its one of the two handle hand held styles. Anyways, it seems that this "Universal Capper" will only work on Steamwhistle bottles (up here in Canada eh), the reason being is they have a glass ridge lower down the neck. The capper seems to grab onto this well and apply the appropriate force.

Now I was hoping any pry off bottle would work, but it seems most dont have this glass ridge low enough on the neck, and as such the capper doesnt get a place to grab as well and apply enough pressure. Is it my stupidity, or is this just the nature of the device??

HELP! :tank:

yeah, Wing Cappers like that kinda suck. they're not very stable, and they can be quirky on some bottles, and you can't do any twist-top bottles.

a bench capper is what you really want. They are teh awesome!
