Can't attach quick disconnects

I have a ball lock keg and have tried to attach my ball lock quick disconnect gas in to the post with the knotch at the bottom (gas in). Does this just push on? It's on half way but does not seal. I don't have any keg lube and need to carbinate for a Halloween party next Sat. Help!

Yes it should just push on, Make sure the quick disconnect you are using for the gas inlet is a white one.

White is for gas inlet
Black is for Beer outlet

You may need to change the small o-ring on the exterior post. These are very cheap from the hardware store.

I don't mean to sound condescending but are you pulling the outer ring back.. pushing it onto the post then releasing the outer ring? If so You may be doing as drhook said and trying to fit it on the wrong post
