Can you mash too long?

I've read a few books that say they leave the mash over night.

Is this OK? Would this do anything bad? I'm thinking of doing an overnight mash. Thought?

A lot of folks mash overnight.....Just make sure you maintian your temps and everything is fine....

Basically, you can't really mash too long - but you do plateau quite early.
